skins always measure at least 20" longer as the scales do not overlap. everything looks bigger than it turns out, and photos can be especially decieving. only when you measure it and handle in person can you appreciate size really |

![]() You should know the drill by now pal, 9'+ Boa constrictors aren't all that common, you'd better be damn sure it's what you're showing off when you claim it, or you should expect a certain amount of cynicism, doubt and querying. You obviously believe it, fair enough, but don't be suprised by the questions. You've got no reason or right to go bananas at various people in this topic at the drop of a hat. And for the record, try looking through my posting history, not only might you learn something (Leave it till the morning though eh, give the old braincells a sporting chance), but you'd see that I post plenty of positive things. The only thing you won't see me posting is "Woah mayte, yo0ur giant bowa is well gud, I r jealous of you"... Anyway, here's me holding a 19-20' Jamaican Boa, I measured it with string... Don't question me though or I'll go totally nuts!!! ![]() ![]() Lotte***

Yeah I wondered about inaccuracies, but he guy reckoned it was down to a snake being all tense and bunched up or relaxed and stretched out?! Whenever I am quoting a client for walkabout with my snakes I always piut my Tabitha in the 10 foot plus category even though she isn,t because she looks that big, and thats what people expect when they hire a 10 footer, because she's such a chunky beast! As you say, looks can be very deceptive!
