I have no experience with snakes so can you let me know if what i'm doing is okay.

I've put it in a 2ft viv as its my only empty one at the moment (and it has a lock!).
The viv has a heat mat which covers just under half the viv which is now on the thermostat (i've taken the bulb out which was on the thermostat).
he temp on this side is 28 degrees and is set to drop to 25 degrees at night. I've put in the viv some small hides, a shallow water, some fake silk plants and a moist hide.
I fed it a pinky mouse as I read their food should be the same size as its head and its not very big.
How often should I feed? I was thinking once a week but is this right? (I don't know how long it will be until the owner claims him/her)
some people have all the luck - I wanna free snake toooo!!!!
your setup sounds spot on, except there is generally no need for a moist hide for corns. For feeding the prey should be no bigger than the widest part of the body, and once a week sounds fine.
good luck with him/her!

yeah, the food should be about the size of the snakes thickest point. the snake will dislocate his jaw so dont worry about the food looking too big. have fun.

snakes cannot see in red light no...

so if the only light source is RED it will appear to them as if the lights are off..

this is not the same as being able to "see" red the colour !!
