if i remember rightly they cant see blue. but using lights for heat source isn't ideal for corns. they dont need warm air temps they need warm substrate. an under tank heat mat is the best form of heating and it should cover 1/3 of the viv.

And if you get right down to it, some of us use white light during the day and have our cages unheated at night so they drop down to room temperature.
Jasper, who is on exactly that schedule, is still growing like a weed.

he/she (the corn) was found in my neighbours basement, who brought it round to me as he knows I keep geckos. We've put up some flyers stating 'snake found' but so far no one has called about him/her.
I have no experience with snakes so can you let me know if what i'm doing is okay. I've put it in a 2ft viv as its my only empty one at the moment (and it has a lock!). The viv has a heat mat which covers just under half the viv which is now on the thermostat (i've taken the bulb out which was on the thermostat). he temp on this side is 28 degrees and is set to drop to 25 degrees at night. I've put in the viv some small hides, a shallow water, some fake silk plants and a moist hide. I fed it a pinky mouse as I read their food should be the same size as its head and its not very big. How often should I feed? I was thinking once a week but is this right? (I don't know how long it will be until the owner claims him/her)
