Default vivarium glass

Hi, im looking at building my own vivarium. Was wondering if you have any idea on where to buy glass for the front or what are standard sizes.

You build your viv., fit the glass runners then have the glass cut to size by a glazier or local builder's yard. You can't buy the glass doors as standard and expect to build the viv. around them - they will never fit.

i used to get all of my glass from the local tip, the good old shower screen, the old double glazed window, you get the drift and have to agree its easier to build the viv first then have the glass done, if you do it the other way round i guarantee you will be mils out and end up banging your head against said newly built viv

piece of cake- go to your local glass cutters an they cut in about 3 minutes while you wait. the trick is to get the mesurement right. allow for fitting in the runner. i cocked up first time i did this. as long as you dont need extra strong glass for a burm or something as big then you dont need to pre order.

To measure, you just need to place a measure tape in the inside of the top runner (thicker one) and measure to the top of the bottom (thinner) runner.

Job Done.
