On the plus side there aren't exactly many female corns around this time of year so he's unlikely to find one.. although perhaps a few messages reminding this person of the risks of breeding young females might make him amend it to 3-5 years and perhaps if he has sense he will then seperate the female after breeding.

The advert says "ideally" the female will be fit for breeding, which is saying that they're willing to accept a female who isn't fit for breeding.

A yearling female is not fit for breeding. So quite probably, they're willing to get a yearling and wait, if the ideal snake is not available.

If they only wanted females ready for breeding now, it's say that in the advert, instead of specifically saying they would accept a female who isn't fit for breeding.

thing is, will he know what to do with the eggs if he gets any?! doubt it, sounds like he needs a slap on the wrist and a lesson in snake breeding.

Got to take our lil anery girl back to the vets asap as she's had a shot of oxytosin and still not pushed out the last 2 eggs, getting a bit worrying now!

everyone is jumping on his back. He has made a simple, light-hearted, non technical advert in a non specialist area.
If he was to advertise on here he might word it differently.

It could well be that he knows exactly what he is doing and is willing to take on younger corns and wait.
Ive heard people on here mention their snakes having 'nookie' and noone has assumed they are children killers.

he doesnt need to be a cross dresser. He was hitler youth.

My point is everyone assumes the worst without really knowing any of the facts.

We should hunt him down and burn him!

thats what i was just about to say, maybe they are mentioning above a year old to give them a head start, so as not to have to wait as long as a hatchling, but ideally a breedable snake would be preferred

sadly its more common than ever..people buying things and wanting to breed them ASAP to make cash off them not thinking of the consequences of the ill health thatll result from immature breeding
