I reckon it would probably depend on what the mother was, if the mother was a livebearer then her body would be designed to deal with that, same with a mother who lays eggs. I think that would have more to do with it than the genetics of the offspring.

What interests me more is, say a livebearer x egg-layer female gave birth, what would they be?
