make sure it is on a thermomstat too. and I'd c hange the wood chips for aspen, but that is personal choice, as I find it easier for them to burrow through. and maybe cover two sides so that it feels less exposed ![]()

Hi mate! Good to see you're taking all the action necessary to keep your snake in good health. Usually people say they're taking advice and leave it as it is!
I used to keep a corn in a fish tank with no problems, but during summer it got quite bad so I transferred to tubs and faunariums. Here's a list of the components you'll need to maintain temps, house your snake properly etc. Faunarium: Reptilekeeping The online Reptile Shop, Selling Livefoods Reptile Accessories and Equipment. ![]() (For a year or so, till the snake is about 2ft.) Vivarium Reptilekeeping The online Reptile Shop, Selling Livefoods Reptile Accessories and Equipment. Will hold your corn for the rest of his life. (Could put your corn straight into this. I have a 4ftish corn in a 2ft tub and he's doing fine.) Heatmat Thermostat Reptilekeeping The online Reptile Shop, Selling Livefoods Reptile Accessories and Equipment. ![]() You'll want a heat mat at one side. Place the Thermostat probe in under the substrate on top of the mat and measure the temperatures carefully. Using a digital thermometer. Digital Thermometer Reptilekeeping The online Reptile Shop, Selling Livefoods Reptile Accessories and Equipment. ![]() Place the probe in the middle to get a decent reading. (Correct me if I'm wrong guys! Might be hot end? Will wait for back up on this!) Substrate Reptilekeeping The online Reptile Shop, Selling Livefoods Reptile Accessories and Equipment. ![]() Aspen. Very good for corns etc. Allows them to burrow and you're at far less risk when digesting substrate rather than woodchips which quite deadly! Hoped this helped mate! Josh |

Re the aspen, this is purely personal choice, I find it better for the corns, but I have used beech chips etc before with no probs whatsoever. x
