I'll second that, i think they have the biggest teeth of all non-venomous snakes.

photobucket is sooo slow today.

Hi

I keep northerns and basins along with chondros. What would you like to know?

Biggest advice I can give you is buy a genuine (verifiable) captive bred animal...and unfortunately that pretty much rules out anything you can buy from a pet shop as these are usually farmed imports.

In that regards your biggest problem is going to be actually finding an animal. There are very few breeders of emeralds in the UK and to the best of my knowledge I can only think of one that has any available at the moment (£2000 for a pair of basins I think he was asking).

There is the Hamm reptile show coming up in Germany next month. Again, you need to be wary of wild caught and farmed animals but there are usually a few CB emeralds on sale there.

cheers

Stuart

There is a stunning looking one in Cold Blooded in Rainham, Essex. I have always wanted one for years.

Why not go for a Green Tree Python, very simalar in looks, not as prone to bite in general, and easier to come by.
