Make sure you get thermometors too, you need to check on the temps daily (I'm obsessive, so check mine loads of times a day, lol).

If you don't want to Ebay for a mat stat, check out the one's at Camzoo:
www.camzoo.co.uk - Thermostats Microclimate mat stats are £21.40 with free delivery from them. I can't believe the guy in the shop actually told you the snake didn't even NEED a heat mat!! I'd pop some extra hides in too if there's space... he should have one at the cold and one at the hot end - toilet rolls are fine for small snakes, or any little boxes/plant pots too. Anyway, welcome to the site and well done for asking for help! Looks like you've had loads of good advice!

sid was great last nite he had the lamp on all day as thats all i have for now until 2moz and i havent seen him so active
 he was great loved it i felt a lot happier because he most of been nice and warm i have put tubes in for him and he tends to hide under it x when will i no if he needs 2 pinkies a week x sam x

The pic of sid on my hand is in my pro file for the flokes that wanted to him x how do i give you flokes stars bloody hell i am useless i cant even use this bloody site its all new to me i am soz for beening a pain sorry x
