50l, 64l and 84l all have the same amount of floor space, just over 2 feet long by about 15" wide. It's up to you if you want to keep an adult royal in the equivalent of a 2 foot viv. We have 2 yearlings in 50l each. Adults I'd personally recommend a viv, but I'm not a royal expert. I know there's another tub that the bigger breeders use, I can't think offhand what it's called though...it's mostly intended for racks and doesn't come with a secure lid like the RUBs. If you're set on tubs, I think you can get some decent under bed storage trays that you could build a tight fitting rack pretty cheaply out of 12mm MDF. Possibly only 2 sheets of 8'x4', depending on the trays, which go for 13 quid each at b&q (not sure on the cost of trays).

I would keep an adult royal in a rub, but im not sure the 84l being big enough for an adult female. Maybe a small male but its all down to opinion
