I think its OK, its morally wrong but so is keeping wild animals in captivity. I understand we have to draw the line somewhere but venomoids isnt it for me.

It's taking away its natural defence mechanism.

There's no need to do that. If you're experienced enough to be keeping hots then you should respect and appreciate them in their natural state, and have the confidence to be able to handle them in that way too. Also accept and be prepared for being bitten one day.

To me it's like someone ripping your limbs off so that they can play with you without being harmed one day.

its cruel and stressful to the snake. if u r gonna get a venomous snake then u get everything that comes with it including the fangs.

Whats the point in taking it's venom, I think it's a selfish act. If you want a snake that doesn't have venom, get a Corn Snake. Venomous snakes have venom for a reason. I honestly believe that the snake will feel that it has something missing and will torment it and causing un due stress.

Sorry if I sound harsh but why take away the whole aspect of what these creatures stand for.

Rob.

It's a complex subject.

I think it is acceptable under certain circumstances, but not others. It is safe for certain species but not others. It is possible to do it properly but is almost never done that way.

I think it's almost impossible to make a simple yes/no decision.
