Hi i'm new to this so sorry if I seem boring or uneducated in reptiles.

I was looking at the bottle trap you made and thought it was brilliant, I made a similar one when my baby king got out but he avoided them
He managed to evade capture for 5 days but i eventually manged to trap him with masking tape across the doorways and using a couple of pinkies as bait. But if it ever happens again i'll be sure to make them your way as they look far more appropriate

Well hopefully this wont upset too many of you snake lovers, but im finding it so hard to believe that so many of you have had your snakes get loose.
I mean it is your own responsibility too look after them and make sure they have safe and secure places too live.
I mean i can see for some its sad they are loose and others maybe fun they so clever to get out and they found them again. But i personally think its a bit neglectful that as the owner of a pet you have not made sure that it is secured in a proper way that it cant get out.

BUT one of the main reasons i say this is due to the fact i have a fear of snakes(yes you can all laugh now, lol) and the thought that a neighbor of mine had lost there snake would freak the s**t out of me.
I live in scotland am pretty damn happy that i didnt see to many posting that they had lost there here in scotland.
Even though there arenot many snakes in scotland i am always on the watch when i take the kids out too the woods or mountains for walks.

In time i hope to conqeur this fear and as it is my son has a beardie(newish owner) which i am at the moment still coming to terms with, just stroking and petting her.But as yet not been able to pick her up.

But please ppl take more care and think of others when housing your snakes.
Ok now you can all starting ripping into me about being a big woose and have my fear, lol

Great thread EVERYONE.. well done for showing the true spirit of the Interweb and forums. Iv'e read all of them and eagerly followed the ups and downs like a soup opera (post surgested names for it's title?) But what eludes me is Who posted the first "I lost my Snake" and has it been found? .. Tune in next week
