I regularly rescue snakes (Cobra) from vehicle engines and interiors. When it comes to the dashboards I give it a miss.
The bottle idea is a good idea thanks Hammer Man.

the traps didn't work. we've had a proper search, taken beds apart etc and no luck. i fear she's gone.

I used to use traps like that to catch sticklebacks and minnos when I was younger. But I'll keep this on mind if my garter ever escapes

I've lost my corn during the night, I think...

Been away for a week and no-one in my family had the IQ to check on her, or even change her water, eejits ¬_¬

Gonna buy a few mice tomorrow, make one of these and make a few sock traps - not really a trap, just a nice place to hide, get a kitchen roll tube and wrap a black sock over one end. Hopefully she'll slither in during the night
