I heard of someone losing an 8ft carpet python, search almost everywhere for it and then sitting down on the sofa and finding a large lump in the sofa. You can guess where snakey was.

My father had to cut a male royal out of our sofa

place traps behind the fridge and freezer as well as the oven. These are places that they particularly like to hide in.
