Default Sinder sibs

theres a few questions that have been bugging me with them
are they different to other boas?
Why are they extra special?
Is it something to do with there genetics?
Any comments would be good

As far as I know, genetically they are simply normal - they carry nothing special, no hets no nothings.

The only real plus-point to a sibling is that one of the parents would have been selected on the basis that they are an excellent-looking 'normal' (which was paired with the dom/co-dom snake). So I suppose the theory goes that siblings are usually good-looking normals, although whether I'd pay any more for them would depend on the individual snakes.

Hi Sacha

The parents to the sinder sibs are just normals. However, on both breedings from me, and at least one breeding prior to me getting them, they seem to produce something a bit different from what would be expected.

I haven't a clue why to be honest. There are a few of us who are going to breed them in the future to try and see, one way or another, if it is a genetic influence or not. It may be or may not be...who knows.

Right now though they are too young to breed and what ever the outcome is...it will take a few years to determine anyway.

There are some from this board who have some of the babies and I'm sure they will agree with me that they are really special.

Cheers

Roger

No I didn't think you were having a go in fact I read your post to mean you agreed there is something different about them.

The main thing is proving it. The discovery of the 03 clutch and seeing one of them in the flesh has helped (he's the image of my Ash) but it won't be until Sinder (an 06) and his brothers and sisters are old enough to breed that we can prove if the difference is genetic or not. I now have Sinder, 2 other males and 2 females from the 06 clutch and Roger and I are going to continue with the original breeding plans. So it's wait and see at the moment.
