Wink Rub's converting?

Can anyone post a link or show me pics of how to cover up the top of the lids on rub's?

I think you use a sheet of plastic of somthing because of the holes around the top - anyhow, any one got pics?

I did mine with "backing board" from B&Q, mine isn't fixed in and is just a second lid, it does make the clips of the lid harder to getr over, but that eases somewhat with usage

yeah, i put the white side facing down, that way you have a coating to stop any moisture affecting the board, mines still like new after 8months(or whatever time its been), and its only about £1 a box, if it does need replacing in future years

Would i still need to add somthing like that for a royal? or just somthing with a head big enough to get stuck?

not sure, i cant imagine a royal getting its head stuck, but.......

There was a few incidents of corns pushing their heads through and getting stuck(and dying), i thought its not really worth the risk of not doing it

from what i remember it was yearlings and sub adults, there is the possibility of a small adult doing it too
