ok i have 2 heat mats on constant and 2 basking bulbs 1 100w and 1 40w and a fully working fish tank going but my electic is going soooo quick is this normal ? is there anything i can do ??? £10 is lasting 3 maybe 4 days this cant be right

at the moment i got 2 boas 1 bosc 1 tort but more on the way lol i do keep the heating on but also need the lights and mats on to keep the temps up lol

Thats good mate.
we have 22 vivs all set up.
it costs me about 35 quid a week in electric inc house appliances.
Its the price we have to pay for our reps i suppose.
Just hope they bloody appreciate it.

That's the down side of rep keeping = high electric bills unless as said before you keep them all in one room.

Plus you pay extra for the priviledge of your meter if you are on a pre-pay.

I'm on pre-pay for my electric and a normal bill for my gas.

My reps are in my bedroom so I have the heating higher in there (partly because of the cost of electric and partly because of one the vivs heating needs sorting out)

I can't wait to move to a bigger place with a reptile room - hopefully before I die of dehydration in the middle of the night!!!


Does keep the bills down a little though!
