Hehe cheers all
The Baboon was a bit a fluke really. Most certainly was alive but it was having a moment of serenity having moulted a while beforehand which probably left it a bit knackered. Was retrieving the moulted skin but it decided to let me play for a while so I thought it was one of those 'Capture it on cam' moments. Also got a pic of a Greater Horned Baboon which my friend wouldn't go near but I rose to the challenge to prove it was a cupcake. Let me dig it up.
I quite miss my old female L. parahybana as she was always quite obedient and the largest spider I've ever dealt with. Something I was never quite sure about was the fact she kept going between medium brown and black. Just noticed I missed an 'o' from Lasiodora *Oops* :P
The spatulata was quite a funny spider. The first odd activity I noticed was what she was doing in the above picture. I can't remember how it came about exactly but she had all eight legs on this little bit of wood and wouldn't budge so I put her down and she stayed there for about 5-10 minutes holding that bit of wood. After that she always took her food from tongs and laid on her back eating it :S
The Cobalt was a joint investment between a friend and I. We each took turns keeping it for a couple of months at a time and everything was going so well until it had a moult and turned out to be a male :P Was very blue prior to that moult.
