Default giant spiny sticks(eurycantha calcarata) pics

two of my adults shed and have changed to their adult colours

firstly the male, no hes an adult his temperament has changed to his adult stage too, eg now he will stab you





and one of the females

nice 1 .
just a note though .
if you have them housed as a colony ,
watch out for battle royals with your males.
mine knocked lumps out of each other when i housed them all together.
they go at it so fierce that they were breaking their spurs!

yeah, thanks, they seem to stay to seperate ends of the enclosure at the moment ive got two species in together(not everyones ideal, but they dont seem to bother/care about each other), the others are Aretaon asperrimus and have already been seen hooked up

unless they are in a massive tank , yer gonna have problems.
i kept trachyareton bruekneri in with mine (back when i didnt know better)
i kept losing them but didnt know the cause,
then i spotted a male eury slice a male trachy in two !!!
my advise - keep eurys by themselves , no other species gonna get hurt then .
do you observe them at night ?
thats when the eurys come out of hiding & get physical

yeah, im usually up till 2am ish and yeah they are out and about, yeah i probably will split them up, im waiting to get hold of a large exo-terra for them
