thankyou.
he has a low immune system from tablets he has to take. He has to be careful with colds even, which is why I didnt get a pokie before.
How likely is it that he will get bitten if he isnt handling it in any way and it just feeding it and watering it?
Are there any other sp that potent venom like that? I have a chevron (sorry cant remember latin name and im tired)

Then i wouldent personally put a spider near him. Spider venom has been said to interact with certain medications. Let alone that with a weakened immune system he is at risk from ANY bite. If he is careful and uses safety procedures he probally wont be bitten, but its a risk. Im paranoid from a bite and im on Prozac.

as long as precautions are taken then you sould be ok.

like when feeding you could either use long tweezers or even better if you are using an upright container then it can just be dropped in the top. measures should also be taken when misting as they dont like to be srpayed and move like lightning when they do get misted so the best thing to do is have a waterbowl in there and a hygrometer and you can keep an eye on the humidity and keep it to a minimum

Its a low risk, but its still a real risk, it's his choice if he wants to take it, but purely from personal experience, not many pokies will actively try and bite you, only when disturbed or when they feel threatened.

P.Cambridgei have a good old bite on em, but not in the same league as pokies IMO, but they do seem to hurt more from the actual fangs though, well at least it did when one got me

It's a risk having any spiders/tarantulas/scorpions etc near him if he is vulnerable, but if he/you show caution and consideration I don't see why it would be a problem.

i'd completely avoid pokies if his immune system isnt 100%.

maybe a C. Fasciatum? they look awesome and they dont have pokie venom lol
