You could get a communal empoer scorpion setup looking really nice a tank that size.

do you want exotics or domestic to uk?
there are some great forign beetles about

i've got a devils coach horse beetle in my viv, they are agressive and attack other beetles, i found them in woodlands under logs

put about 4 - 6 inches of soil down and dead wood, dead leaves, stuff you'd expect in a woodland, i have a little flo light and the humidity is 85 i mist water in if it gets too dry

my tank is too small for the larger fruit beetles

your tank definatly aint too big for beetles, they cover ground very quickly
they are very teritorial so need space to get out of each others way
hence why i'm getting a 6 foot tank for them LOL
and big is better

danm, i thought my devils coach was getting old and slow, i just watched it chewing the hell out of a beele lavae, they certainly are aggresive little b'stards, and huge jaws, glad i'm not one below that on the food chain, imagine a cadillac with jaws like scaffold tubes, scary

Best suggestion so far

Failin that you could split it, stick a Blondi in one half and an Apophysis in the other, one of the biggest tarantula species next to the second largest, your jobs findin out which is which
