Default Chile Rose Diet

My Chile loves his crickets...but won't eat mealies or waxies or anything. Keep reading caresheets that say the same thing...is there anything else he could eat?

Crickets will e just fine for your rosie, you can maybe try locusts too but unlike most reps, tarantulas don't require a varied diet, just anything that moves. All my terrestrials eat crix and my arboreals eat locusts

i dont find any of my Tarantulas fussy if they dont eat the food they not hungry or ready to molt, i dont feed my Ts mealworms coz i hate them they eat anythink and if u dont know if ur t is ready to molt that mealworm wouldnt care and have a munch i say u can try locust they work my chilean loves them and crickets, i know when adults can feed pinkies but i find my chilean rose dont eat much so i dont bother. but all my other 4 spiderlings eat maggets and pin head crickets.

Thanks so much Zoe and Gem!! I just thought he'd get bored of a pure cricket diet, even though its more than sufficient. he doesn't even acknowledge mealies, but many locusts would go down well as a treat!!

Thanks so much!!

I've never fed mealies to my t's...mainly because I've been bitten by mealies and I'm scared one would bite a t and damage it!

My C.Rose eats Locust purely because I cant stand crickets.

I usually take a bit ot there Big back legs off so they cant jump............ makes it easier for the spider to catch.
