personally iv never ingested them, i just get destroyed everytime any of my theraphosas molt, sheesh that itches and burns for weeks, lol I even got itching scars on one of my fingers, lol its soooo bad

i get that with my t.apophysis is it like little itchy spots on your fingers and...well......everywhere ? i thought i was just getting spots

I worked for about 3 months rippin out loft insulation for a mate of mines dad, you learn not to scratch

I had a few beers and I managed to pull through.
I was only itchy for about 5 minutes, after that no problem. I've never been affected by moults either.

I'm also not affected by midge bites, I wonder if that relates

Not really related, maybe a little to yourbodies reactive habits.
Iv had my my longest Theraphosa for about 5yrs nearly now. Bloody amazing, i have 0% intention to sell them BUT my reaction is getting much more sensetive.
I dont even have to go near their enclosures during a molt and i will come up with red blotches all over my body, lol

aww no poor you!!! just coat yourself with suda crem and wear a suit of armour when it moult time or when ya dealing with them. that should help
