I would never use a heatmat for any inverts. The heat should come from above not beyond, they make holes to avoid heat and predators.
Why dont you use a lamp as a heat source?

I use a 12watt exo terra rainforest mat on my emp tank with a Habistat matstat. It's currently sat at 88F, it is warm in this room today though.
This one: 888 Reptiles | Exo Terra Rainforest Heatwave Mats

There is absolutely nothing wrong with using a mat. As I'm sure you're already aware they're best stuck to a side.

I wouldn't ever use a lamp but would use heat mats.

If you use matts then make sure they are on the BACK of the tanks. Emps like it humid, but not really hot. If your house isn't freezing then then they should be ok without one.

T's and scorps burrow to escape heat, so NEVER put a heat matt under a tank.

Suggested temps vary but around 70F to 90F is what to aim for.

yeah im with the people who use mats on the back of the tanks, although in the summer they dont really need them especially in my room with all the extra heat from the reps.
