Chilies sit still for a day or so in new habitat i find. However give it a few days and it will start re-arranging the entire thing. Out of my spiders its the one i see the most.

I have the same thing with my Chile... He took a while to settle in and now he does indeed move the furniture around !!!

It started with a toilet paper tube I stuck in there as he didnt seem to like the expensive purpose made refuge. He now has three in there and is always moving them around... I change them everytime a new one becomes availalable !!! it seems that my living rock/hole is more like the Changing Rooms crew on speed...

Am trying to come up with some ideas to really tax his tiny brain, as he is beating me hands down at the moment LOL

But always active has got to be a good thing

Im thinking of taking my chilie out of its housing for a while, pile dirt at one end, housing at another and raw materials such as leaves and moss in the middle and see what it does. I got the idea after i just put moss in before and it dragged the moss over its hide and webbed it.

Let him build his own enclosure rather than make do with what we think is best for him !!!!!!
My King baboon sling is in the process of converting his enclosure into a des res, predominantly involves digging lots of inter connecting tunnels, am sure some of the other species can show us what they really want if given the chance !!!
