supposidly fake, but can you imagine some bugs that big? they would be incredible . Imagine a praying mantis that size? it would eat little dogs and cats .

Actually something that size would take down a human.

Almost had me there!! I know insects were bigger at one time but you would have to go back a bit further than that

insects can't possibly get that big and never have been in the past. they're constrained to small size due tot heir inefficient respiration system. just wait till they develop lungs . . . then we're in deep sh!t!!!!!

Are you sure they never got that big?:P do some reading about the giant scorpion for a start.lol
Back in pre-historic times lets say cretaceous period there would have been a higher percentage of oxygen in the air... the air was richer essentially. That allowed for much bigger inverts to appear.
Even in modern times...now, today there is a woodlouse thats 18inch long...thas forking huge!
do a search on google for giant isopod and youl get me lol

During The Late Paleozoic Era, apparently there were scorpions 60cm+, millipedes 2 metres long!, the air/oxygen % was very different in those times so would make sense really, lets face it everything else was giant!
