Default Near bite due to ignorance and stupidity

Yup im an idiot, needed to move stuff around in the cobolt cage. However i had no sodding idea the things could jump. If i had my hands on the tongs in the usual position i would have been tagged, even at the tip of the tongs it was cms from tagging. Remember kids, own spiders at your own risk. Ill be back when my sphincter closes up again.

Back now, being scared clueless + dodgey stomach = interesting bowl movements. Its actually quite docile for a cobolt, which is weird as its shows behavior thats uncommon for the species. If threatened it rises itself up and bobs like a robustum normally does, normally runs off rather than biting too.

All feet off floor at once....in this case in a forwardly motion with intent to remove said owners arm from socket.

Thats the scary thing it wasn't a forward motion....it was a verticle one! Thank god these things don't have uricating hairs and their fangs are fairly small. Soon after i had to clean out the entire substrate out of the thing because my snails started showing signs of parasites so cleaned out all tubs in case it was the substrate. Its now sulking in the corner glaring at me through the tank.

Yeah was pretty close. thing launched itself the length of the tub i managed to snap the lid on quick smart but when i looked in through the lid i couldnt see it! i had visions of this thing living in my room living on whatever insects/escaped crix. Until one night i wake up with a monster on my face trying to eat my face.

Luckily i had got it just in time and have full respect for its speed now. Thing is at the size of a 2pence piece i was expecting/blindly hoping for it to be pussycat

Tis awesome though, certainly keeps you on your toes mine likes to stay hidden then rocket out at me from nowhere.
