Default Calling all mutiple T owners

At the moment ive only got the 1 tarantula and it is kept in a cheap plastic faunarium (plus its only small at the moment anyway) so this is more then ok for the time being. However, i do have a small list of a few more i want to get as soon as i can.

I'm just wondering what you all keep your T's in? I supose those glass exo terra tanks are ideal...but then not cheap once your collection starts growing!!

Any tips of space saving, cheap homes for t's would be appreciated.

Ta,
Gary.

Cear plastic cereal containers for arboreals. clear plastic storage tubs for the rest. just nose around £1 stores and wilkinsons etc looking for suitable housing for the desired species.

Also Wilkinson do medium square faunariums for £5 near me, id assume the stock would be similar nationwide?

Ive got some awesome tall round plastic tubs from 99p stores that are great for arboreal set ups.

Its all about knowing the needs for your species then just keeping your eye open for stuff you can use for DIY jobs. obviously never look as nice as exo terras but £1 Vs £30? ill take the saving for now

ive found the cheapest way for my Ts, was to use old fish tanks, which are quite cheap, i got a 3ft tank divided in the middle and made 2 mesh sliding tops, i blacked out the divide so the Ts cant see each , they seem happy and healthy

Yeah so i suppose as long as the lid is secure and there is decent ventilation (obviously clear sides would be nice HAHA) then there are lots of cheap tubs that could potentially house animals...just a case of finding a size/shape suitable for the t in question!!

Any tips of getting ventilation in tubs? Is it just a case of drilling/cutting a few small holes?? I've never been very DIY minded

Yeah drill/cut/melt/bite or claw some holes in size and number depends on the amount of humidity/ventilation you want again depends on the species.
If my computer works for once ill try and get some pics up later

The glass exo terra's may cost a bit but if you're looking for a display tank you can't go wrong.

As good as the exos are as display tanks, they do take up alot of room, not ideal for keeping whole collections in unless you got a huuuge house and a big wallet.

for arboreal slings, I use cricket tubs....

I keep avics. and planning on expanding the collection, so these are ace.

and have this one for my larger one.. less than a tenner from a reptile shop in lincoln.. JC Exotics.

although this one was cheaper, but I couldn't see the spid, so got the glass one..
