Question Flat rock scorpion care?

Ive been wanting a scorp for a while now, and after seeing a few in a local rep shop, im pretty sure i want some sort of flat rock.

Im pretty sure the ones that are in the shop are yellow banded flat rocks (H.paucidens),
ive read a few care sheets but advise off people who have kept/own scorpions would be really helpful

Do females live longer than males?

Do you just stick a couple of cricks in there every week for feeding?

Just general info really

Sam

i'v onlt kept emperor scorpions (2) not flat rocks. but food wise i usually put about 3-4 locust in so that they'll defo get a least 1 each, water bowl even though people say they get the juices out of what they eat i'v seen both of mine drinking, and a few placs to hide. of course you'll need to get the temprature and humidity right according to the type you get but all should be well

I had mine as a M/F pair in a 2ft tank , Heat mat on the back wall with large flat rocks siliconed together to creat tight crevices they love it .
Feed a few crickets couple times a week , also a few mealworms , though these burrow they do surface from time to time .
Dont forget a large- flat drinking dish. occasionally you will see them drink , on occasions i offered pinky mice to the female and she eats it all .
Females are much bigger bodied and stockier than the males , males just have a much longer tail...
A few logs and a burrow will be accepted also plus a large flat rock if you intend to mate them .
They can get in and out of the tightest cracks and crevices , so the more you can squeeze in the more at home they will be ...
Try not to put anything wired into the tank as I found they can climb up electrical wires with the aid of the tail
I hope this helps you a little
Good Luck , and very good choice ....
