A big, brown spider that lives in a hole and, if kept properly, you will never see it. They're famous for stridulating (hissing) and being very bad tempered. If you want a big tank full of earth with a hole in, save yourself the money and fill a tank with earth then poke a hole in it. The end result will be virtually the same. If you keep crawshayi as a display spider, i.e shallow substrate and no hiding places, you will get a very stressed spider which will kark it in a short time.

I agree with the guy above, sometimes you don't see them for months, I have no idea how large mine is at the moment, last time i dug it up it was halfway through a molt.

Get a B Bohemei or a L Parahybana.

Baboons are my mortal enemy. I love the hissing though.
