Exclamation GALS shell problem... Help!!

I've just bought a Giant African Land Snail,
The problem is his shell is in terrible condition, He was brought to the shop from a member of public and he has been on cuttle fish, but his shell doesnt seem to be improving much and i just wandered if anyone could suggest any other ways to help his shell out abit!!!

Give him a varied diet, lots to eat and drink, give him lots of baths and make sure there arent any other snails in there with him that might be eating his shell.

When you say horrible shell what do you mean? You also may want to check the substrate, topsoil is to acidic. Better off with eco earth.

Like... Its all broken and its weak around the rim opening and his shell is sort of flakey, like our nails get, the other snails he was kept with were fine and do not have any shell problems, its just him, could he of damaged it off the rock that was in there?

I know things like that happen with turtles and tortoises :\

Ah, yeh cuttlefish helps a lot. Ive read somewhere that you can temp fix their shells with glue but i think you should check on that before you try it.

theres reserch in snail slime possibly being able to heal human bones if changed slightly, maybe rub some of his slime on the cracks long shot but hey try it
