Easy, the web is extensive, but also quite uniform. You find its not a mess, she builds her 'drape' like walls of silk, its only the one corner that is inaccessable for fingers, but you could still see her in her corner.

Took only about 1year, iv rehomed her since thoug but my idea of sticking her in a atall tank didnt intice her to web soon. Il make her a new enclosure i recons

thats it, no maintenance, lol
Fill the water dish occasionally, and pop a cricket in, tahts it. As its a dry species, generally you wont ever suffer problems with rot, or mold so the discarded food items dont have to be taken out so often as other humidity requiring species.
All in all, you could have this spider for many years without ever needing to do anything at all other than dropping a cricket or two in every week or two, and filling the waterdish ever month or so. They require bone dry enclosures and do fine at room temperature They are from a totally difernt part of Venezuela than most, and they deal with much more feast and famin lifestyle than most. Makes them a really hardy and efficient spider

Brat, you brave soul. I do not envy you. I feel the same way and although I find them extremely beautiful and very interesting... I'm not sure if I could cope with looking after one. But thread has been an eye opener as this is the first thread I've read about keeping spiders. How often do you need to take the spider (GBB presumably) out of the tank?

I have a spare 30x30x30 too... don't be giving me silly ideas brat!

NEVER, tahts the joy you can, but the spider wont appreciate being disturbed. They live in the same retreat for years in the wild, some species will live their entirity within a few metres from their home..can be many, many decades. I rehome until me, and the spider are happy with the enclosures, lol
If they try to escape, i move soemthing about, but you dont have to, the spider will resolve itsissues generally, lol

you dont really need to take it out, I will proberly have a good clean of my GBB's tank once a year roughly. I have no problem getting her into a cricket tub so I can clean tank and rearrange it.

You can always enlist the help of others if you not confident about taking the spider out.
