Default 2nd T decided and on hold!

I've got ma 2nd T on hold it's a brachypelma albopilosum! Been looking up care sheets and from what i've read their temps will be ok at room temp but they need higher humidity than charlotte does. But i've read a couple of sheets that say you need to mist the tank is that right? And is the coir stuff i'm using with charlotte ok to use as substrate? What are they like as pets? And how long do they take to grow? It's off someone on here and it's 4cm at mo. Cheers for any help guys.

im biased and wil say its a wicked T!
never raised one, but if its like the red knee (from the same genus) then it takes ages to grow, but will make a fantastic pet you couldnt get rid of. If you raise the spdier, you really struggle to sell it, lol
probably about 5years til maturity in the extreme.
keep the same as the rosie, cept dampen the substrate and dont let it get too dry, with coco fibre tahts generally when it goes really light and fluffy

no, i used to have a sub adult. Cute things, dont mist them as such, just dampen the substrate, i generally pour some water lightly around the substrate, misting doesnt really work unless you soak, but then pourings quicker and lazier so suites me

Brilliant spiders. You wont regret it.

Got mine on Vermiculite which helps to keep the humidity high but coco fibre will do fine. Feed it the same food you're giving Charlotte. They sometimes do like to dig so give it enough substrate to accommodate this.

Keep it on coconut fibre, dry, jst over flow dish every now and then. They don't like it wet, plus they like to shift a lot of sub about! Fab to watch

4cm will eat prob L2 crix, maybe bigger. My 3" female tackles adult locusts!! lol

Cheers becky so basically pretty much the same as charlotte then? Is it classed as a spiderling then? And when do they get classed as juvies? Would it be ok to feed it maggots as long as they aren't dyed?
