Im 'umming and arring' between ordering a couple of slings (both 1cm) from TheSpiderShop or waiting until the BTS show and seeing if i can get the same but a bit more grown on.

I'm not sure i can make the BTS show yet so am slightly swaying towards ordering the slings...but are slings a lot more fragile than Juvi's? Basically what im getting at is are slings a bit of a gamble or as long as i get the set up right should they be fine??

Also, i've read a few stories of slings struggling with moults, so is there anything i could do during moult? i.e. alter temps or humidity to assist the process??

As you can tell i've no experience with slings and the fact they are so cheap compared to adults makes me think maybe its a bit of a risk.

I often prefer slings as growing them up is often the best bit.

Yeah i do like the idea of watching them grow...cant believe the difference in size one moult makes!!

I'm thinking i might get 1 g.rosea and 1 p.murinus.

I have grown most of mine on from 1cm slings. All moulted and fed well. I havent found any to be difficult to keep or raise and most of my slings are now juve's.

Depending on the one's you are after since some can be painfully slow growers so if you are impatient to see some colour then probably best to go with a grown on sling or juve.

I'll see if i can find some juvi roseas online then, dont think TheSpiderShop had any in when i checked last.

Rosys take a while to grow, and the p.murinus is quite nasty, you want to get used to it as a sling and hopefully tame it down before it gets to adulthood.

i went on the spidershop earlier and they aren't sending anything out till after 13th May.

Lee's on holiday, thats why.

Personally i'd go for adult rosea and murinus sling. You'll pay £15 for a juvie ish so why not pay an extra fiver and buy an adult? Rosea are slow growing too. P. murinus are very quick growing. Both are easy to look after though and don't need high humidity.
