Its been likened to pokey venom and the little gits just wont let go. I fancy getting one, but apparently they are the worst pet holes ever.

Basically, if you got bitten by one, your hand would turn black and you'd be buggered for about 3 or 4 days

But you'll only get bitten if you're lucky enough to see it, so i'd say a bite is a lucky thing Pet holes... pfff

Yeh. they are really dull to keep tbh. like any trapdoor. you only buy a hole.
Seriously, you might as well stick your fingers in the enclosure, making a hle and then sticking a 'TRapdoor' label on the front, no difference really.
Beautiful spider, and although i dont have a clue, i would assume the bite causes more systemic reaction than a pokie. Pokie bites only seem extreme when you look at the extreme. Most pokie bite victims experience weak flu like symptoms taht fade with a day. Only the extreme reactions cause extended reprocussions.
Id rather be bitten by a pokie for definate.

i have kept trapdoors and had a black trapdoor jump out onto my hand before scary stuff lol but to stop them being just a living hole you buy a tall jar and then buy smaller glass or jar that will fit inside this jar leaving a gap of around 1 inch around the edge, fill with soil, add spider, it will burrow down the edge of the glass so you can see it
easy then you actualy get a pet you can see.

I've kept loads of trapdoors, but only have 2 now as \I sold/swapped them all. They are the most boring pet known to man IMO. The only good thing is rehousing them as it's pretty good fun watching it constantly strike at thin air. You don't even get to see most of them feed.
