Out of interest
Are many owners of males prepared to take the risk of matings after raising for so long, or is the lure of slings just to irresistable ????? Oh and what is the success rate of matings, and how destructive is it for the male ( I know we all have tongs chopsticks etc but is it hairy lol ) Cheers Chris |

Theraphosas are ok generally, they wont eat each other too often.
Its a hard species to get viable eggs from, getting a sac isnt the problem so much as stopping the girl from eating them. Pretty much every owner of males is prepared, the male only lives for a fraction of the time a female does, its his purpose to life so i think its something that should be widely encouraged. UI raised my girl to 6inc in the first year, they dont neccessarily take long to grow at all down to the individual really.
