Default Woohoo!

Charlotte ate for the first time with me on tuesday night! Was delighted i chucked in a big black cricket with her looked away for a second and all i heard was a crunch and she'd grabbed it then saw her making a feeding mat! Next day there was nothing left at all of the cricket so decided to try her with another cricket and she whapped that as well and again next day there was nothing left of it got to see her grab it this time tho! I gave her another one yesterday! So that's 3crix she's had this week! Is this to much? Can you overfeed them? Not gonna give her anything now till next week.

They won't eat if not hungry. You'll probably find that she goes through stages. Might be 3 one week, none the next, 1 week after etc. My Curly and Pink Toe are very random eaters, I currently feed them one a week so that I don't have left over crickets in the tanks. Nothing worse than trying to sleep at night with a cricket chirping away in a tank. I've just swapped to locusts for a change.

you could feed them 15 in one sitting if you so wanted... as long as the bum isnt getting TOO fat then its not a problem 3 a week really wont be a problem, unless their bigger than the spid, lol

She was getting 1 big locust a week before i got her and hadn't eaten in 4 weeks and was kinda trying to work out how many crix would make up 1 big locust ! Getting some adult locust for her this week or would the extra large locusts be too big for her? Her bums not big (lol) but it aint small either! I was expecting her to leave bits of cricket or shell of them after she's eaten but i couldn't see anything till last night and in one corner of her tank thing there's black stuff (can't think of any other way to describe it) Is this poo?

If the spider goes for it and eats it, the foods not too big jsut dont leave crickets runnig around. take out the uneaten ones

Cool will get some big ones then and try her with them! I'd rather under feed her and do the 1 cricket at a time than try catch the bloody things if she's not eating them! It's easier to catch the loose ones in the leos tanks than in charlottes tank coz i'd be worried about stressing her out by trying to catch it.
