Also would imagine its a strong defense against monsoons or heavy rains, having more volume to the tube would result in less chance of it filling up with water. Not confirmed but a fair assumption i think

In all seriousness how long should I leave him/her undisturbed as it is impossible to check on him/her without moving the tank ???? and obviously the critter is happy with where it is Temps/lighting/humidity etc !!!! ( would like to increase humidity to ease with prospective moult but do not want do upset the spid overly ????? I dont want to miss anything ( Expectant father again ), but dont want to FCUK it up also !!!!!Cheers Chris |

Just tip small amounts of water into the substrate at the opposite end of the burrow to help with humidity
Everything else keep the same. King baboons are very slow growing! So a moult could be ages away yet or close.. He'll come back out when he's done or kick the skin out. Moving the tank to check shouldn't be a problem ![]() |
