I use an effective method to get rid of them, its called a deodorant can and lighter.

I'm glad its not only me thats petrified of them lol. We normally have an outbreak of them September, you only have to open the kitchen door and wham they are in, I have recently purchased a mantis, my other half wanted 1 as a pet but come September it will be big enough to catch the crane flies, may get another couple at the BTS and let them free range the kitchen
