ok here goes, although new worlds are prettier and nicer to look at, theres something about the old worlds, some say they are dull and boring, pet mud and what not, but they are wrong, just look at H.lividums and minax, and (even though your not a fan) OBTs, they arnt as widely liked as the prettier spiders, but are far better IMO. They dont have urcilating hairs and because of that their venom is stronger, they are like spiders that evolution forgot, Even more so than tarantulas in general

I keep Poecilotheria and Haplopelma, so i do have old worlds which i like. But most old worlds, e.g. the baboons and africans are pet holes! I know my Haplopelma are but i can't bear to part with them lol
The pokies are nice display spiders.
I find New world tarantula's more interesting and yep, colourful Better to look at.

But i do keep both Infact at bts im after some olivacea. *gasp* yep.. African

another way to look is new worlds are generally american, whilst old world = africa, asia

I like my Theraphosinae (American) more specificall Theraphosa tho.
I do like Oldies but dont find them so much entertaining, generally arboreals or burrowers and spend much time out of view.
