Default Sling died

Avicularia versicolor, didnt recover after its web collapsed. Got one shed in then died on me. Damnit!

Im finding that, one is thriving the other is ok i guess. This one wasnt well really when it arrived and after it got stuck on its own web i guess it was a matter of time. First spider ive lost too. If the others thrive it will be worth it.

I know several people that havnt had much luck growing Versicolors on from slings, sorry for you loss though mate .

As Si has already said the Avicularia species in general prove difficult to rear , the few that make it though really do make it worth the effort ...
I spent a fortune last year on A.Amazonica, and lost the whole lot , really frustrating I can tell you ...

I dunno why people find versi hard to rear. I've never lost one! I bought one sling as my 2nd spider and i still have it now, a nice juvenile female. But if it wasn't right in the first place then chances are it's not your fault Hugs xx
