Smile Scorpion I.D help.

#

Anyone help me out with an I.D on this fella? All I know is it looks like one not to play with.

Buthus Occitanus if im not mistaken. Dont get tagged, they have quite a high venom potency.

Yes they are, VERY much so.

On the LD50 table a Leirus Quinquestriatus (deathstalker, most potent in the world etc) has a value of ~0.30, Buthus Occitanus ranges from 0.9 to 1.50 region specific. So not a great difference there on the grand scale of things.

it does look a bit like my Androctanus sp though, tbh its pretty hard to get stung as long as your not stupid.

Tails too thin and the chilae are too bulbous for Androctonus id say... spose i could be wrong though
