Default Finally managed it

Hi guys, I finally managed to get a pic of my Ornamental. Its not that good but its the best I could do.



I also got my GBB on saturday and its already eating like a horse, I'll get some pics soon.

not surehow big it is, it doesn't stay still long enough for me to try and measure it. Its Pederseni, i think that's how you spell it. Most of my other t's seem to be female, so it will make a change to have a male.

Have to say, overall, most of mine turn out to be female, cept my expensive ones always end up as males
P metallica (2 out of 3), M balfouri (1 out of 1)... o well

So you reckon it's a male i've got then? Just wondering would you know where I can buy a taller tub for it cos i've looked everywhere. the ones i've seen don't seem that wide.

Generally, Pokies tend to be daimorphic from a younger age, that is, they look different visually.
Pokies tend to be reletively easier to id from a picture
(Reletive to other families of tarantula)

P pederseni, are like most Poecilotheria sp. they have a Black and white pattern as female, and males tend to have a Brown/black pattern.
Males look alot scruffier, with long scraggy hair, when compared to the beautiful and neat female.
Im sure someone can come on and confirm what iv wrote.. im not that clued up to Poecilotheria sp.

I vote male, and mature at that! He won't have hooks but will have swollen palps and emboli should be visable from the underside.
