err roaches... stick em in a tub, give em substrate..give em some sorts of food, lol youl have looads when theyv poped out an ooth
Snails seem easy too, i feed them dandilion, grass, carrot, apple, peach, loads of diffferent thingsd really..but snails do good with some cuttlefish bone too, something they can get calcium from aids shell formation

Our snails eat cucumber like there's no tomorrow. Easy to keep and very fast growers

Yeah, cuttlefish a must too

roaches can be kept room temp, on coco fibre..anything really, they like to burrow and dig too so dont put anything in the tank, the substrate and some cork..everything else just ends up sinking under as they move the substrate about.

i dont think temps down as low as 15-16 should bother roaches, but i would imagine the snails would be best above about 17-18c

If your going to get a praying mantis and its your first one its got to be the african mantis. They live at room temp and are very hardy. When theyre nymphs they just eat fruit flies and grow pretty quickly. They also have some wicked colours.

Mantids are pretty easy, especially the African as Herpzane suggested. Put one in one of the pen-pal plastic tanks, peat or kitchen towel for the substrate and a few twigs for the mantis to climb on. Dont put too many in as it needs somewhere 'clear' to hang when it moults.

The African mantids will eat most things that move. I always found it safer to go too small with food, rather than too big.
I've just about finished making an enclosure for four mantids out of acrylic.

Mantids are awesome
