I've always been scared of spiders but very interested in them (I like to think thats the case with most people?)

I guess my reaction with my first T was pity in a way. My brother got a G. Rosea about a year and a half ago and didnt take good care of it at all, left in it the cold and never fed it

He eventually moved out and I took it off his hands and gave him a better life, I was a bit iffy about changing its tank and what not at first but eventually got used to it.

Then 1 became 2, 2 became 3, 3 became 7???

Point is yourll get very used to him/her

god they freak me out... I don't have one, and probably never will and heres the reason - if by some chance that thing escapes, then I'd have to move houses in order to sleep peacefully

I got my first tarantula when I was 12, I was so excited and I handled it the day I got it (well, unwrapped it, it was a present).
It was a cobalt blue lmao

i don't fear spiders, but do fear being bitten. so as long as it's secure it's fine.
Chnaging cages, and cleaning up can be a bit of a pain too.
Fortunatley none of mine are particularly nasty or quick. Maybe when I get my next couple I'll change my mind !!
when you first got your T how did you act or were you fine with it?
i was fearless , its just a mere spider & i am man !

now the honest answer ,
i now own 19 t's & i still get VERY creeped out by them.
they are fascinating beyond belief , but they scare the living sh**e out of me .
i love everything about their behaviour ,
their eating habits
etc
etc
but they are spiders !
they scare me !

LOL did I help you get over your slight aversion to Wanda?

Must admit I love them, find them absoloutely fascinating, I do have a healthy respect for them and know full well they only really tolerate handling [and due to allergic reactions I don't really want to tempt fate too much in that respect]. Can't believe i've been fascinated by inverts all my life [at least the bits I remember] and the sibling who used to kill them and runaway screaming has her very own beautiful thing.

As i've said if you ever find you still feel wary around Wanda i'll be more than happy to bring the little monster up north with me next time I go down and visit :P
