Ive been with my gf for 2 years now - Im 21 shes 19.

I have 3 snakes, a retic, boa and a false water cobra and I am selling my boa and gettign another retic to breed with my other retic

I ahve told my gf that I want to get a Tarantula, only one, and in a few years down the line get a monitor lizard,

Now she is ok with the lizard but noway will she stay with me if i get a tarantula as she 100% hates them and wnt stay at mine if I have one in the house nd won't get a house with me if I get one

SO what do i do?? Never get one to please my gf and try na dforget the urge to get one - I dson;t really like spiders, not to handle or out, im jus fasinated by them and want jus the one to see how they are etc,

Or, get one and sod it and see what happens.....

I wouldn't get one mate. It's not worth it. It's all about compromise. Get something you really want and she doesn't mind instead.

Just get something that you really want and that she doesn't mind. She has probably compromised about the lizard!

I guess I'm lucky really. I met the Mrs studying animal care at college and all our t's are really her's I guess. Not that it helps...lol

Maybe leave it for now and try again in a few months. She might have see others animals by then and come round to the idea. You never know.
