Okayyyyy here comes the scared spider person lolol
Can I see pics of the spider please and explain about the hair things and the mat - they make a mat to molt in yes? and also make a mat to have babies in? i presume it is a long wait from mating/munching the male before the sac is made/laid/deposited? Crawly things don't mix well with me but my curiosity and want of new brain filling stuff kind of wins each time lmao

Pamphobeteus 'South Equador II', 3 Mature females, and 1 male No pics of the mat im afraid.. basically, they lay down a mat of really thick webbing, and mix in the itchy hair as a defense. they then lay eggs in the middle, and wrap it into a ball. They lay a thick mat wen molting, but its not as thick as when making an egg sac. She was mated october/november last year so not overly long... then its about 2 months or so until the sac opens with lil spidersdepends on species for growth times, gestation times and things

Thanks CStrike
They are actually quite nice as spiders go hehehe The male was certianly gorgeous on the eye - purple is my fave colour So the pic of the female in moult is a mat? And then a thicker one of them with their leg hairs? is made for the eggs and then she turns them into a webby hairy football to let them grow? Think I am getting this whole spider thing a little bit - pat on the back for me for looking at spider pics without cringing or itching
