Unhappy Bad shedding

To say I’m gutted is an understatement. My first and only mantis has had a bad shed. One of his legs has broken, another doesn’t work properly (both on same side) & also he hasn’t for some reason grown feet at the end of his claws (sorry I don’t know the correct terminology) He’s very unstable and I can tell he’s exhausted, I just really really really hope the lil guy makes it and is able to feed properly. I don’t know what I did wrong, I did everything I could. I know these things happen all the time but knowing that doesn’t make me feel any better. I know this might sound sad but to me he’s not “just an insect”, it feels as bad as if something had happened to my cat or dog. He’s a tough lil guy so hopefully he will be ok.

unfortunately mantids are very prone to bad sheds, moreso than Tarantulas i think.
it is gutting when it happens your first mantid but the more you have, the more you get used to it.
this one doesnt sound too good though im sorry to say...
