Default land hermit crabs

Does anyone else here keep land hermit crabs?

I've got 26 of them, had them almost a year now.

That's a fair few! I was gonna get some when I was told I wasn't allowed more reptiles.. But realised they didn't do that much so just bought 18 more lizards anyway lol.

I'd love to get more, but pets at home have stopped selling them.

Once they settle in they are quite active, i find them funny little things, but very interesting to watch too.

I've got a couple. I'd like to get about four more though, just so I have a nice little group.

Where does everyone get their spare shells from?

So did we, they sold us the hermies then took away everything, i've got a friend who has an online shop, she's put a large order of hermie stuff from the USA to sell in her shop, so i'll be getting most of my stuff there.

Shells we went to the seaside and went into a gift shop and bought a load there, boiled them and the hermies love them

I could never figure out the 'rules' with crabs and moulting...

1) If your crab is moulting do not dig him up.

2)If your crab is moulting move him to a tank of his own. (just dont dig him up??!!?!)
