Question Euathlus sp Red - knowledge sought!

Anybody that has knowledge of this T that I only came across as a result of a thread on here a few days ago:

1. This a quote from The Spider Shop

Quote:
These are a nice slow moving, docile species that will not bite or flick hair ideal for novices but unusual another to interest advanced keepers.
Is this REALLY true? It seemed to good to be to true so thought I would go to people who actually had experience of them!

2. I have struggled to find caresheets so would it be similar to other Chilean varieties?

3. I have seen some sites describe it as "semi-dwarfish", what does this mean and in terms of mature size what would you expect? (if any body has handling photos for scale then that would be useful)

Thanks again folks for great advice I always receive on the various forums on here (saves me saying it every post )

I dont have the E. sp "red" but have E. truculentus, vulpinus and sp "Montane". So far the truculentus and montane are really docile. I havent seen a hair ruffled in either. If startled they run and hide rather than flick hair or posture.
Size wise they dont get very big. 3 - 4 inches. Lovely little spiders. I'm rather smitten with mine

E. vulpinus is another matter though and will through a wobbly. I have had my girl in a death stance for almost an hour lol.

Thanks both, I think there are a few other owners on here, hopefully they will see this thread.

I'm not sure how sizes are shared in T's what does the 3-4 inches mean? Is that from fang to spinnerette or is it body and leg span? sorry for the most basic of question

Measurement is measured from leg 1 to leg 8, diagonally across the tarantula.

Wow, that wouldn't have been one I would have come up with without your help!

I've got a juvenile Euathlus sp. "Red". All I can really tell you is that they're very quick little buggers (when young at least) and mine goes through stages of being extrememly active to not seeing it for days. Even young they're very pretty, pics via link in signature.
